The Kankakee Area YMCA is a not-for-profit, charitable, community-based organization committed to helping people grow in spirit, mind and body, regardless of financial circumstances. The Y will never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay, and it depends on the generosity of members and friends to make this possible. Life is challenging for many families in Kankakee County who have faced financial hardships due to company layoffs, an unstable economy and a multitude of other factors.  The “extras” - like family outings, health & fitness or summer programs for their children - have been hard to come by.

However, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Kankakee Area YMCA has been able to provide financial assistance to hundreds of deserving children in our community.  Your support helps us put smiles on their faces by providing them with plenty of fun, adventure, skill and character development - giving them experiences that last a lifetime.
